Hey there! Welcome to The Deep Dive — a wonderland for readers!

We’re Book Riot! We’ve been around for more than a decade, growing to become the largest independent editorial book site in North America, and home to a host of media, from podcasts to newsletters to original content, all designed around diverse readers and across all genres. Some of us were booksellers, teachers, and librarians. Some of us are authors and editors. All of us are into books.

Why subscribe?

Because you’ll get bookish and book-adjacent content written by people whose literal job it is to pay attention to the world of books and publishing. This is a space for book lovers, both our writers and our readers, to indulge in one of their biggest passions, take closer looks at topics that beg to be explored, and exchange thoughts and recommendations, among so many other things. You might also find us talking about pop culture, news, and other topics that aren’t explicitly book related but that we think you, as a reader of this publication, will enjoy. You won’t find these posts anywhere else online.

We also offer community features, including the ability to comment, discussion threads, and polls. Find like-minded individuals who share your passion for reading and enjoy a safe space for talking about books.

We’re always interested in hearing about what you’d like us to dive into, or what you’d like to see more/less of here, so holler at us any time!

How much to subscribe?

Only $6 a month! (Hot tip: if you select the annual subscription, it’s 17% cheaper than subscribing monthly).

And what am I getting?

Paid subscribers not only help support the work we do, they get access to ALL content (including the weekly free posts detailed under the free subscribers heading), with a bounty of bonus content. This may include:

I need a little more convincing to upgrade to paid…
